The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Denver Nuggets in a final score of 113-97. The Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic led the team with a career-high of 31 points, 17 rebounds and 1 assist. Luka Doncic scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists while Maxi Kleber added 15 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist for the team victory. On the otherhand Jamal Murray led the team with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Will Barton added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists while Nikola Jokic contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists for the Denver Nuggets in the losing effort. The Denver Nuggets was on the cusp of being a championship contender yet when the trade deadline came they took a step backwards. They need a star player, Nikola Jokic is good but he can't be your best player and still be a championship team. He flat out disappears at times, can't create his own shot, passes from right underneath the basket instead of scoring or getting fouled and is a defensive liability of the team. They might be get out of the first round depending on who they play but will exit in the second round at the latest. Anyways, the Dallas Mavericks improve their record to 40-27 while the Denver Nuggets fall to 43-22 on the season.
