The Philadelphia 76ers, a Finals Contender?

The Philadelphia 76ers last season was indeed an improved and a strong team. Ben Simmons and Joel Embid combination had showed the NBA world that they can be a dynamic duo. Together with All Star Jimmy Butler and sharp shooter J.J Redick, their lineup was a force to be reckoned.

Last season, the 76ers had remarkable season had for some people, the team become their favorites and has a high chance in contending for NBA finals. Ben Simmons who had become a point guard for the team had created many brilliant plays for the team and cam become a great playmaker. Joel Embid has also entered into the debate of greatest big man. With defensive player like Jimmy Butler who improved his offense and sharp shooter J.J Redick, their goal of having a championship os getting close.

However, in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, the dream to win a championship that season was ruined. It was a thrilling game but unfortunately, the game was decided as Raptors win when Kawhi had hit a cold blooded buzzer beater to win the series.

Now, the 76ers are starting over again and begin to start the process again.

Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick has recently left the team but had acquired another all star big man, Al Horford. Now that the team has a new lineup, will the dream to win a championship be accomplished or it will be another heartbreaking shattered dream? If the team wants to pursue that dream, well, it will be a hard one since many teams are now strong like the Milwaukee Bucks and the defending champs Toronto Raptors.
