Liverpool transfer news: Klopp told to complete new signing because of Van Dijk
VIRGIL VAN DIJK made a big improvement to the Liverpool defence last season - but he was not as good as some people claimed.

Those are the thoughts of former Arsenal midfielder turned pundit Stewart Robson.
Van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton in January for a club-record fee of £75million.
The Dutchman helped the Reds to the Champions League final and also qualify for the competition next season.
But Robson does not believe the addition of the centre-back is enough for the Reds to win major honours.

He says Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp must spend what it takes to sign a top-class goalkeeper this summer.
“They were better defensively towards the end of the season,” Robson told ESPN FC.
“Van Dijk certainly made a difference. I wouldn’t say he read the game as well as people said he did.
“But Liverpool were better all round defensively, in midfield.
