NHL - Ottawa Senators & Pittsburgh Penguins Game 7
How does the league's best offense follow up an apparently emphatic 7-0 win? Apparently with a loss! Their shots on goal were blistering as always game 6, but it never ended up mattering as Anderson put in a hefty 45 saves. The defending champs playing at home are naturally favored to win - current gambling odds average out to -205 Penguins / +175 Senators.
Since one of my best friends is from Pittsburgh, I'm all in on the bias; as such I dare you to root for depressed penguins (which apparently is the situation here!)
I'm definitely not going to be mad if the Penguins lose - 23 years without a Canadian team winning the cup, and 5 full seasons since any Canadian team made the finals... Hard to get any thirstier in a country so cold!
I'm on the Senators bandwagon. Good game so far, practically half a period without a whistle or interruption. Just constant action. That's what makes hockey such a great game. Crosby and Karlsson both look to be on their game. Battle of the superstars. Elite D vs Elite C.
With how much of a laugher Celtics-Cavs turned out to be, I went all in on this one in 3rd for both :) Time to see if this power play shakes things up or if this is going to stay tight all the way into overtime!
Well, guess the result answered that question! Shake it up fast!
EDIT: Haha shook the game up into a frenzy ever since!
Crazy game. Not the result I wanted, but the Senators looked completely out of gas in the overtime periods. They were lucky to hang on as long as they did. Nail biting. Hockey is best sport.
