TWO RECORDS MANY CHELSEA FANS DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT LAMPARD MIGHT BREAK
England Football League finally picked June 17 to resume back the season after it was paused on the 15th of March, due to coronavirus that affected sporting activities worldwide.
However, Since Chelsea owner the Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich took over the club since 2003, the club has had over 13 different mangers.
The last man to manage the club before Frank Lampard, was the Italian Maurizio Sarri who joined the club from in 2018 and left after just 1 season to join Italian series A giant Juventus.
Since the club have been changing managers, there is a record that has stood ever since Jose Mourinho took over from Claudio Ranieri in 2004
Jose spent three seasons at Chelsea and he won 2 English Premier League titles and other trophies
The next was the Italian Carlo Ancelotti in 2009 and he won the EPL and FA Cup title before he was fired in 2011.
The next was Jose Mourinho returned and won yet again another Premier League title in 2013 after he was fired the next was Antonio Conte In 2016 and won the Premier League and FA Cup title before he was sacked in 2018. Then Maurizio Sarri left Napoli to join Chelsea in 2018 where he won the Europa League before moving to Juventus.
Maurizio Sarri continued the record which is, no manager has spent one or more complete season at the Chelsea without winning a trophy since after the era of Claudio Ranieri.
It was also recorded that after Maurizio Sarri only 4 managers have completed a season or more at Chelsea since Jose Mourinho era started in 2004.
It is now a question of the doubt to see at the end of this current season, maybe Frank Lampard who took over in 2019, will make it the 5th manger to complete a season at Chelsea, only time will tell if he will ruin the manager's trophy recorder keep it going!!
Chelsea FC already signed Morocco international Ziyech from Ajax, his first-ever signing as Chelsea manager, and will be looking to add more to the current squad, with speculation of some players to leave the club when the season finally ends.
