Immigrant Traces of Turkey in German Football
The story of the Turks in Germany did not come in one night. In the book Muslims in Western Europe, it is mentioned that the arrival of Turkish people in Germany has even begun during the days of the Ottoman Empire.
The second industrial revolution that took place in the 1850s, made more and more Turks choose to seek life in Germany. Their sustainability is continued by posterity who are now seeking new luck outside the fields unrelated to the industrial revolution.
Football became an indispensable field of German relations and immigrants. The story is continued by the inclusion of a Turkish-Turkish couple boy named Mehmet Scholl to the team nicknamed Die Mannschaft.

In his childhood, Scholl was forged by a local football club named Karlsruher SC. His talent was then smelled by FC Bayern Munich. He defended Muenchen for 15 years, from 1992 to 2007.

The name of Mehmet Scholl at the top level is forwarded by a wonderkid named Yildiray Basturk. Basturk is a Turkish peranakan residing in a mining area called Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia.
Basturk's career started when he strengthened a local club named Wattenscheid 09. 10 years there, he left for a poor rival club in the highest ranks of German football, VfL Bochum. The name Basturk is increasingly known as he brought Bayer Leverkusen into second place Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and Champions League 2002.
For international level, Basturk chose Turkey as a port. Although his career at international level was not entirely successful, but he managed to bring his ancestral land to occupy the top three in the 2002 World Cup.
Halil and Hamit Altintop
Twin brothers called Halil and Hamit Altintop became the successor to the throne of the Turkish footballer who grew up in Germany.

Nuri Sahin
Nuri Sahin was once called the best talent of Turkish descent who inhabited Germany. He was born to a Turkish couple who grew up in Meinerzhagen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
His success brought a local club named RSV Meinerzhagen to win some junior competitions making many professional clubs interested in getting it. Borussia Dortmund became the luckiest after offering a contract at the age of 13 years.
Exactly 16 years 334 days, Sahin gained status as the youngest footballer ever to play in the Bundesliga. Two months later, he was listed as the youngest player to score in the Bundesliga.
Sahin talent made it seizure of the National Team (Timnas) Turkey and Germany. However, as he has strengthened the Turkish junior team in several age groups, he eventually chose to defend the Ay-Yildizlilar banner.
Ilkay Guendogan
Ilkay Guendogan was born in Gelsenkirchen from a family of Turkish descent. According to Der Kurzpassmeister, his ancestors came in the 1900s from Balikesir, Turkey, to earn a living as a coal miner in the Ruhr valley.
After moving around the junior club, Guendogan finally chose to join VfL Bochum. Neat appearance then took him to join the team on the side of the Ruhr valley, Borussia Dortmund.
From teenager, Guendogan decided to defend the German National Team. Unfortunately, a series of injuries kept him out of the various training camps of the German national team, including those prepared for the 2014 World Cup.
