WRC Documentary video of day - Manx Rallies from 1980's
Hi, Steemers!
I found these old videos from one of my friends who posted something on his Facebook page so I found myself a work - to look for an old videos from Manx rallies from '80's. And it was great!
Lot of an old drivers who were pretty quick for that time. And don't forget that those cars were rear wheel drive machines. Those brands from WRC and that time were: Ford, Opel, Vauxall, Talbot, Renault, Audi etc.
You can see from the video really beautiful machines like an old Ford Escort or Opel Manta (that car was one of my favorites when I started to follow rallying) etc.
Names from that time are Ari Vatanen, Hannu Mikkola, Henri Toivonen (killed in accident on Corsica Rally 1986), Jimmy McRae (father of late Colin McRae).
This video is pure pleasure and stuff for learning about history of rallying.
