Picture of the day - Old Mercedes-Benz on gravel rally stages

Hi, Steemers!

It is very rare picture to see old historic car like this on rally stages, especially on gravel stages which are kinda cruel for suspension and body work.

I would say that car is old at least 40 years so it has to be good welded to suffer all the holes and rough rocks on the road.

I really don't know if the car was ever homologated for the rallies but it's not that important.

The important thing is that I saw that beauty on rally special stages and it's rarity and I follow rallying for around 30 years now.

The crew is: Bruce Field and Lyndon Wilson and the rally is from the New Zealand Rally Championship.
