Photo of the day - Another Citroen shunt (this time on national rally)

Hi, Steemers!

Kris Meeke destroyed lots of Citroen's chassis during his time there and last weekend Craig Breen had a fire on his car at Rally Turkey that burnt complete vehicle. The same weekend there was a national rally in France called Rallye National du Suran.

One of the drivers on that rally was Ludovic Gherardi who drove newest Citroen's R5 weapon called C3 R5. Car is from PHSport team which works very close with Citroen works team. I would say that they are Citroen's long term partners.

He went off in one corner and hit a tree which destroyed complete chassis. FIA rules say that if the rollcage is damaged, chassis is written off. And here we can see that tree went into the cabin so that means that rollcage is damaged.

The most important thing is that driver and co-driver are unhurt (voice from terrain said).
