Lukyanuk won Rally di Roma Capitale 2018

Russian Lukyanuk Alexey won another event of the European Rally Championship and this is becoming regular for him.

He was always quick at the European events but not on the WRC level, just ERC events, where it's a lower level of competition. To become clear, that's all very fast guys but when they come on some event of the World Rally Championship, they're nowhere compared with WRC regulars.

Lukyanuk had his chances in WRC when he had a chance to test Ford Fiesta WRC with the M-Sport team and it was a few years ago. He destroyed the car very quick and the car was written off.

He wasn't able to start the event, and that was Rally Finland which has the roads suiting very well to the Russian.

So, Lukyanuk won Rally di Roma Capitale 2018 and it was close battle because 2nd placed Italian Basso was only 7.5s behind him.

Grzyb Grzegorz finished 3rd with more the a minute of gap behind the leader.

The winner was behind the wheel of Ford Fiesta R5 and the other two drivers drove Škoda Fabias R5.

Top three crews were on the Pirelli rubber.
