A Wolf's Trail - Run of Memory Soldiers in Jadowniki.
On Sunday in Jadowniki there was a Run of Wolf's Trail once again it means THE BIGGEST RUN of MEMORY IN POLAND. It is organizated for the sixth thime in Poland but third in Jadowniki - in honor memory polish heroes of the underground and anti-communist state.
The running competition in Jadowniki as usual gathered a large number participans. They were not afraid of the morning frosts ok -12 degrees Celsius. The sportsmans had to choice two distance: 10km and 1963 meters. Among the youngest runners he was our reprezentative with Children's Fire Team with Jadowniki - Szymon Figiel. The oldest runners were Józef Makuch, Jan Gzyl i Józef Węgrzyn z Jadownik.
The main run started on 12:00 AM. The route ran through the streets of Jadowniki to Sterkowiec. In here the participants of the run had to give up an even asphalt road and they started racing on the snowly and forest roads. Such a way led them to the same Brzesko and from there to Jadownik at the finish line.
The racing on 1963 meters had started 10 minutes laters in opposide direction. In here the athlets was have no that light anymore. After first 100 meters the road was white from the snow and ice.
On the finish everyone runner have receved a medals from the mayor of Brzesko. For the winners there were wait the big cups. Children's Fire Team drawed the cupons with material prizes for first 20 players.
The organizers have prepared warm meals and drinks for everyone present on this day at the Primary School No. 2 in Jadowniki.
The entire route was prepared and supervised by co-organizers, i.e. Firemen from Jadowniki. - All the time during the party the road was under ours watchful eye. Together with the Policemen from the KKP Brzesko the route was secured in several dozen places. For tasks the Firefighters it also belonged was also a watchfulness for medical safety.
We are satisfied with the course of the event and we are so pleased with this great interest in these memory runs. We hope that the number of runners will increase every years.
