Philippe Coutinho did not feel at all distressed by his status as the most expensive purchases of Barcelona. Coutinho actually claim to be proud and will strive to continue to provide the best to Barca.
At the start of the season, Barca broke the transfer record when buying Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund for 105 million euros.
But Dembele's status as the most expensive purchase lasted only half a season. In January 2018, Barca got Coutinho's services from Liverpool by handing over a dowry worth 120 million euros, and potentially to be 160 million euros according to achievement.
"Not [burdened], for me it is an honor and gives me a pride," Coutinho told Mundo Deportivo.
"The transfer price is something I have to put aside, so I can dedicate myself to playing football and doing it as I always do," added the 25-year-old.
Coutinho has now become a mainstay Barca and get the core position. Ex-Inter Milan players have also scored one goal when Barca meet Valencia in the Copa del Rey. But, Coutinho feels still can provide better games for Barca.
"I need to get better and do better on the pitch, I want to win titles, something that makes me feel motivated, so I practice every day with full motivation and ultimately won the title," said Coutinho.
