Spinterlands: The Javelin is Dodgy

Hello Splinterlands Fans

Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge. This weeks topic is Javelin Thrower.

Javelin Thrower is one of my favorite card in earth splinter. Although it costs 5 mana but it is worth it as it has great speed. It has a speed of 4 right from level 1 and at level 5 it gets Dodge ability, making it extremely difficult to hit. Try complementing it with Slow and Swiftness abilities and it will serve as a great sneak(melee) attack protection for the team.

MY BATTLE USING GIANT SQUID

This was a 40 mana battle with two battle rules, one Keep Your Distance and second Equalizer.

LYANNA NATURA

I used LYANNA NATURA summoner because in my experience earth splinter can more efficiently fend against imminent magic dominated battle.

BORTUS can also serve as a nice summoner in current battle rules, but water splinter is not allowed.

LORD ARIANTHUS

Upfront came favorite tank, LORD ARIANTHUS. Having abilities Shield, Void, Magic Reflect and Thorns @ just 5 mana makes LORD ARIANTHUS a force to recon with.

Try complementing it with healing and it will do the wonders.

PRISMATIC ENERGYG

Next came another tank, PRISMATIC ENERGY. Despite of the high mana cost, it can prove a nice defender against magic attacks.

MUSHROOM SEER

Next came the MUSHROOM SEER. It has two awesome abilities, Silence and Poison. Silence can reduce the enemy magic attack, leaving it fangless in Keep Your Distance battle rule.

WOOD NYMPH

After that comes the healer, WOOD NYMPH. In large mana battle healers are essential to support the tanks.

JAVELIN THROWER

After the healer, I placed JAVELIN THROWER. It is prudent not rely entirely upon magic attack and introduce some ranged attack.

CORNEALUS

And in the last came another ranged tank, CORNEALUS. It has self heal ability, making it best defense against sneak attacks.

I wish to upgrade it have Thorns and Return Fire ability.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

This was a long battle and the enemy was strong. My two well placed tanks complemented by healing from WOOD NYMPH proved quite handy and did their job of reflecting magic. The enemy made mistakes like not using a tank with Magic Reflect and relying totally upon magic attack. Also the enemy didn't used any healer.
