YOUR INDIVIDUALITY - God's special gift to YOU!

I strongly believe Saul, in the Bible, would have emerged the greatest King Isreal had, if he had, with contentment, submitted his heart unto God and understood the seriousness of ill will.

Remember, he was the man who never wanted to be King because he was humble. As the "little boy" David rose in the city, Saul was full of envy and jealousy towards him. ENVY and JEALOUSY, two (if not same) deadly diseases we must watch out for, not in the lives of others, but IN OUR OWN LIVES.

The song in the city has changed. The first line says: "Saul has slain his thousands", he likes that. But the second line says: "David has slain his ten thousands" he doesn't like that. He does not want to lose the splendour of being the centerpiece of all attention.

Envy has taken a whole lot from him. He even wiped out a whole village because a man hosted David. Isn't it true today that we (as Christians) are caught up in the same web? Or how best can you explain the hatred in the Christian fold?

• The strive to be better than the "other denomination"
• The strive to "seem" more spiritual than "the other" Christian.

This competition is killing us; it's taking us far away from God; it's blinding us from the real essence of Christianity; it is watering down the purpose of the body of Christ (Church). Instead of promote the basic principles of Christian living - which is the only gateway to eternal bliss - churches now promote doctrines that will make them "seem" exceptionally more spiritual minded than the other denomination.

You need to deal with envy and the reality of pride. You need to start doing this on a personal level.

Your greatest pursuit in life is to find out what God has created you to be not to try to be someone else or better than another. The idea of "being better than another" will deprive you of being the BEST God has created you to be."

Be yourself! Be what God has created you to be! Don't try to be someone else.
The word "individual" has a Latin origin and it means "that which cannot be divided". God's unique gift to you is your individuality.
