To the One who speaks all languages
of suggestion and coincidence
To Whom all things are permitted,
I beseech You
It’s nighttime, everyone is asleep
No none can hear my plea but You
There is a string
deep in the soul
that only Faith
can reach to pluck
and set vibrating
Trust in the Unseen—
everything, now, seen
issues from there...
If you wish to be helped
do not be too proud
to reveal your need.

Yes, Kenny, I think you’re right... We must be present and humble to ask, first. This is the conversation we have with ourselves, life and the Divine.
How can we expect to be helped, if we don’t do our part?
This is such a familiar prayer (to me, anyways). I like the line about the string that only Faith can pluck. I relate with that so many ways. Thank you.
