The Dark Side Of Psychedelics

in #spirituality5 years ago (edited)

There is a big mad rush to go and take DMT, Ayahuasca and other psychedelics but is anyone questioning the other side to this coin? I work on many people who come to me feeling quite the opposite of elation after throwing themselves out of their consciousness and 4D.

Great explanation and very thought provoking.

I think there is real value in these plant medicines, as well as experiencing all facets of life. However, as you say, the energy that you approach it from, the energy that others are bringing in and how you integrate what has happened into your life is just as important, if not more so than the experience itself.

Absolutely spot on !

The issue is the "mad rush" or the view of this being a fad, in my experience with those who have had bad experiences are the one who have not done their due diligence, not appropriately researched what they are getting themselves into.

Many people think DMT is just like any other "party drug" and upon taking it find themselves having to face the darkest parts of their being and confronting themselves, which can be considerably uncomfortable if not adequately prepared.

Many will blame the "drug" for bad experiences, however i see this as like blaming the car for a car accident instead of the driver. The "drug" is a medicine if used appropriately with the correct set and setting, with full knowledge of what the purpose of the experience is designed to achieve... it can be helpful to those seeking to learn from exploring these altered mind states.

The long and short is that the psychedelic experience is the only thing which is somewhat assured from this form of experimentation , that is the objective reality. What we experience within these realms is completely subjective, so it really does fall on us as to what we do experience. However, as much as we may make the efforts to do what we can to have a "good trip" and avoid a "bad trip", due to the fact that it is subjective means it cant be guaranteed either way.

The fact is that all medicines have degrees of varying efficacy depending on the person, DMT is no different. It will be good for some, bad for others, maybe even mediocre for the rest, lol. but its all up to us if we take it or not ;)
