Living a Life in Truth
Living a life aligned with Truth (which can only be discerned through the Holy Spirit in OUR spirit) is one of the most rewarding things in the world. It's the best because we glimpse God's glory if we live from the Spirit. However, it is also challenging if, like the vast majority of people in the world, we've been driven by our body and soul for most of our lives.
The key is to continually ground our feet back into the realm of Truth and be led by the Holy Spirit. This is what it means to "abide in Christ".
Having the ultimate connection with our Creator in Heaven, Jesus Christ could discern exactly where anyone was living from, including the spiritual influences acting on someone -- be it the people making trade in the temple or when rebuking Peter as "Satan".
I wonder which spiritual or religious leaders would Jesus rebuke in this day and age? ;)
But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. Mark 8:33
