En la ladera del monte, destaca un prado abierto donde hay un castaño enorme y muy antiguo.

Nos gusta pasear por la Sierra de Gredos y el Valle del Tietar porque poseen rincones bellísimos, a cada paso, que deleitan a cualquiera.

Hicimos una excursión hasta el “Prado del Castaño”. Este nombre, se lo pusimos nosotros porque nos pareció muy apropiado ya que ese espacio está desarbolado y sólo hay un gran castaño en el centro.

Desde el “Prado del Castaño” y hay unas vistas fabulosas sobre el Valle del Tietar y los montes de Toledo.

Con el buen tiempo, he aprovechado para hacer un paseo que nos ha llevado hasta arriba.

En la ladera del monte cubierta de pinos, resaltan algunas manchas de color ocre que se deben a grupos de castaños.

En esta zona hay mucha ganadería. En otra época fue mucho más. Por eso, los espacios están parcelados para acoger y proteger a las vacas mientras pastan.

Al subir pasamos junto a un árbol cuyo tallo ha ardido. Observamos que se ha quemado sólo su corazón. Las ramas tienen hojas todavía. Quizás, fue un rayo el que lo quemó y ha tenido que ser hace muy poco tiempo.

Por una serie de pistas encauzadas por muros de piedra, llegamos sin demasiada dificultad al Prado del Castaño.

Al acercarnos, descubrimos que una de sus ramas se le ha desprendido probablemente por alguna tormenta reciente. La rama se ha desgajado y permanece cercana conservando todavía sus hojas otoñales.

Estuvimos un buen rato admirando el árbol y las vistas panorámicas del Valle del Tietar

Los colores del atardecer incrementan los tonos anaranjados . Además, contrastan con la intensidad del suelo verde y el cielo limpio y azul.

Divertidos le dimos un abrazo entre todos. Necesitamos darnos la mano cuatro para rodear todo el grosor del árbol antiquísimo.

Para alcanzar esta envergadura, el castaño debe tener cientos de años. Quizás cuatrocientos o quinientos dicen algunos.

Hay castañas por el suelo que han caído sin que nadie las recoja y todavía se ocultan en su cáscara espinosa. Estos frutos tostados a la brasa están riquísimos. Me recuerdan al invierno y la navidad.

Ahora, con sus hojas caducas de color ocre y naranja, los castaños están muy bonitos. Hay varios por esta zona. Han perdido ya algunas hojas y el suelo está cubierto de ellas.

Cuando llegue un temporal de viento, las ramas quedarán desnudas y al aire, esperando que dentro de unos meses llegue de nuevo la primavera.

We like to walk through the mountains and the Tietar Valley has corners at every step that delight anyone.

We did an excursion to the "Prado del Castaño". We put this name on our own because it seemed the most appropriate at the time.

From the "Prado del Castaño" and there are fabulous views over the Tietar Valley, watching in the background the mountains of Toledo.

In good weather, we take the opportunity to take a walk that will take us to the top.

On the slope of the pine-covered mountain, some ocher spots that are due to groups of chestnut trees stand out.

In this area there was a lot of livestock in another era and the spaces are divided to accommodate cows while they graze.

As we climb we pass by a tree whose stem has burned. It has burned only his heart. It has leaves yet. Maybe lightning burned him like that a short time ago.

Through a series of tracks channeled by stone walls full of green moss we arrive without much difficulty to the Prado del Castaño.

As we approach, we discover that a branch has fallen off in some recent storm.

We had a good time admiring the tree and the panoramic views.

The colors of the sunset increase the orange tones and contrast with the intensity of the green soil and the clean and blue sky.

Funny we hugged everyone. We need to shake hands four to surround the entire thickness of the ancient tree.

To reach this size the chestnut must be hundreds of years old. Maybe four or five hundred say some.

There are chestnuts on the ground that have fallen without anyone picking them up and still hiding in their prickly peel. These grilled roasted fruits are delicious and remind me of winter and Christmas.

Now, with its deciduous ocher and orange leaves, chestnuts are very pretty. There are several in this area. They have already lost some leaves and the ground is covered with them.

When a windstorm arrives, the branches will be bare and in the air, waiting for spring to come again.

Cómo lo hago

Hice las fotografías con mi iPhone X. Para la edición utilicé la aplicación Snapseed y para la firma digital usé la App Watermark.

Para la recomposición utilicé la aplicación PhotoGrid.

Los dibujos los hice en el iPad con el programa Sketches.

For the photography I use my iPhone X. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.

For the recomposition I used the PhotoGrid application.

Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.

For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.
