En los (-68kg) y (-57kg) Edgar Contreras y Adriana Martínez, respectivamente, sumaron dos nuevas medallas a la cosecha venezolana de los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe.

En la especialidad de taekwondo Contreras y Martínez alcanzaron una de bronce y una de plata, respectivamente, para comenzar bien la jornada del domingo en el coliseo del Colegio Marymount de Barranquilla, sede del taekwondo en los CAC.
