DESDE LA VENTANA II, poesía. // FROM WINDOW II, poetry.

Desde esta ventana que no es la mía,
el mundo es apacible.

Desde esta ventana otros vecinos
sueñan o quizá se angustian
por las noticias económicas,
aunque solo veamos brillar la tranquilidad.

Desde esta ventana puedo ver el otro paisaje,
no el que crepita entre la leña ardiente,
tal vez si un aroma que escapa de comida recién hecha,
no es el del humo de mis calles
donde se cuecen las sopas para el olvido.

Este otro paisaje es un cuadro
que puedo soñar con pintarlo
y darle por nombre nostalgia para un futuro.

Desde esta ventana
el silencio es el único grito que puedo percibir,
allá en mi ventana es el de la angustia
o la rabia cuando se dan la mano.

Desde esta ventana
puedo soñar y reír del sol
porque su calor no puede tocarme.

Sonrío,
desde esta ventana,
que no es la mía,
por donde miro los caminos que no están,
pero que nos llevan a todos lados,
donde hay rostros que muestran una felicidad
que a lo mejor no existe
pero está bien presentada.

Desde esta ventana
respiramos la paz por los cuatro puntos cardinales,
y la realidad se nos vuelve un sueño.

English version

FROM WINDOW II

From this window that's not mine,
the world is peaceful.

From this window other neighbors
they dream or perhaps they are anguished
for the economic news,
even if we only see the tranquillity shining.

From this window I can see the other landscape,
not the one who crackles among the burning wood,
maybe if a scent escapes from freshly made food,
It's not the smoke from my streets.
where soups are cooked for oblivion.

This other landscape is a painting
that I can dream of painting it
and name it nostalgia for a future.

From this window
silence is the only scream I can perceive,
there in my window is the one of anguish
or rabies when they shake hands.

From this window
I can dream and laugh at the sun
because your heat can't touch me.

I smile,
from this window,
that's not mine,
where I look at roads that are not,
but they take us everywhere,
where there are faces that show happiness
that maybe it doesn't exist
but it's well presented.

From this window
we breathe peace through the four cardinal points,
and reality becomes a dream.
