La Tortuga Roja (Análisis) / The Red Turtle (Analysis) [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos, si lo han notado, últimamente no he subido ningún análisis/reseña de alguna película, esto debido a mi falta de tiempo y a que me gusta tener el material para poder sacar las capturas de pantalla, mi idea era analizar las películas de Marvel para llevar un camino a lo que es Infinity War, pero no se me hará posible por el momento. Sin embargo, continuaremos con estos análisis en la medida en la que tenga dichos videos, es por eso que hoy hablaremos de "La Tortuga Roja" un film francés en el cual Ghibli (que creo ya quedó claro que me gusta) apoyó y que es un film bastante bueno y a lo que a mi concierne dice mucho sin decir nada. Así que comencemos.

Michaël Dudok de Wit es un nombre insólito en la animación. Cuando lo que buscas es consolidar una carrera con la realización largometrajes a lo largo de años, este director necesitó poco más de 9 minutos para asegurar su sitio en el mundo. El cortometraje que lo marcó es "Father and Daughter" del año 2000, muy recomendada, por cierto. Su capacidad de abarcar toda la vida de un personaje en pocos minutos sin que luciera para nada forzado fue lo que más asombró de su trabajo. Uno de los tantos que quedaron encantados por su obra fue el director del Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, quien de inmediato expresó sus ansias de colaborar con el animador europeo. Dieciséis años más tarde, este deseo se hizo realidad, a pesar de que al final Miyazaki se mantuviera al margen de la cinta y fuera Isao Takahata el emisario de Ghibli en el equipo de producción. El resultado de esta copla de genios fue "La tortuga roja".

Sin necesidad a utilizar un solo diálogo, el director narra la vida de un hombre que cae naufrago en el océano en medio de una tormenta y logra llegar a una isla desierta de la cual intentará escapar alrededor de tres veces, pero cada vez un extraño ser impide su partida destruyendo por completo su balsa. En la última ocasión el hombre descubre que es una tortuga roja la que, está decidida en obstaculizar su vuelta a casa. Cuando la historia sigue su curso y la tortuga adquiere protagonismo, las posibles referencias empiezan a acumularse en la mente del que ve el film y éste se ve tentado a especular hipótesis, muchas opciones quedan expuestas y, sin duda alguna, se abren como caminos para las numerosas interpretaciones que se les pueden dar.

No obstante, hacia la mitad la cinta se centra en crear y desarrollar su propia mitología mientras nos introduce la emotiva relación que se establece entre un hombre, una mujer y su hijo, acompañados por la increíble banda sonora de Laurent Perez del Mar que en muchas ocasiones logra expresar lo que los personajes no deciden decir con palabras. A pesar de todo, "La Tortuga Roja" no cuenta únicamente cómo un hombre rehace su vida después de un naufragio; sino, gracias al gran guion y a su simbolismo que traen detrás, la historia se eleva a proporciones enormes en cuanto a la relación que el hombre guarda con el medio natural del cual está rodeado Ambos existen en un mismo espacio, ambos se ponen limitaciones, se incitan a la violencia y se llenan de riquezas, todo eso a la vez, pero uno complementa a la vida del otro: el hombre es únicamente un pequeño instante en la eterna vida del planeta, y quizá sea la lección más imprescindible que podría dar este film.

En "La Tortuga Roja" se pueden encontrar temas que han sido del interés del Studio Ghibli: la relación del hombre con la naturaleza, la existencia de la catástrofe en la vida diaria y la expresión del escenario natural que posibilita la deja la posibilidad de utilizar elementos fantásticos, así como una profunda reflexión sobre los vínculos en la familia. Sin embargo, la cinta construye un sentimiento propio gracias a sus colores, al dibujo mucho muy cercano al de los cómics franco-belgas, al peso en cuanto a la narración y el drama que lleva la música durante toda la duración de la película y al desinterés del director por todo elemento enfocado a la referencia de objetos localistas; "La Tortuga Roja" ha logrado sorprendernos de una manera que muy complicadamente volverá a repetirse.

However, towards the middle the film focuses on creating and developing its own mythology while introducing us the emotional relationship that is established between a man, a woman and her son, accompanied by the incredible soundtrack of Laurent Perez del Mar that in many Sometimes he manages to express what the characters do not decide to say with words. In spite of everything, "The Red Turtle" does not only tell how a man rebuilds his life after a shipwreck; but, thanks to the great script and its symbolism that they bring back, the history rises to enormous proportions as far as the relation that the man keeps with the natural environment of which is surrounded Both exist in a same space, both are put limitations, are They incite violence and are filled with riches, all at the same time, but one complements the life of the other: man is only a small moment in the eternal life of the planet, and perhaps it is the most essential lesson that this film.

In "The Red Turtle" you can find topics that have been of interest to Studio Ghibli: the relationship between man and nature, the existence of catastrophe in daily life and the expression of the natural scenario that makes it possible to use fantastic elements, as well as a deep reflection on the links in the family. However, the film builds its own feeling thanks to its colors, to the drawing very close to that of the Franco-Belgian comics, to the weight in terms of the narration and the drama that the music carries throughout the duration of the film and to the disinterest of the director for any element focused on the reference of local objects; "The Red Turtle" has managed to surprise us in a way that will very complicatedly repeat itself.
