Space X Launches Midnight Cherry Tesla Past Mars

Welcome to the Next Space Age

What you're seeing above isn't CGI. It's an actual car (a Midnight Cherry Tesla, to be exact) with an actual space suit (man/woman not included) orbiting around the Earth. On February 6th, 2018 (a day that will be remembered in history) Space X launched the Falcon Heavy with a Tesla atop it (the Tesla was under casing until it reached space, where there is no friction). The Modern Space Age is here, folks, and Space X and Elon Musk are doing it in style.

Space X is a commercial space company whose headquarters can be found in a sunny Los Angeles suburb by the name of Hawthorne. It's been making tremendous strides in it's effort to rapidly reduce the cost of space travel and, ultimately, found a colony on Mars.

In it's latest and perhaps greatest stride toward these goals, the company has successfully completed the first test launch of it's Falcon Heavy rocket. The Falcon Heavy is the world's most powerful rocket by a factor of two. The Saturn V moon rocket, last flown in 1973, delivered more payload to orbit.

This test launch will be remembered as the true official beginning of the new space race. Seeing a car fly in space is not the sort of thing that people can overlook, nay-say, or put down. You take one look at the footage of the earth in the background as the car zips through space, of the boosters landing within a second of each other, and there can be only silence.

This is the future folks, and it's looking to be an exciting place.

Space X plans to continue it's mission, possibly launching it's first humans into space either late this year or early next. It's next rocket, tentatively named the BFR (Big F*cking Rocket) is the one that it plans on using to take colonists to Mars and perhaps beyond. We'll likely hear more about it around 2020.

@jenkinrocket Truly i have heard about a possible colony in mars but the inclusion of cars there possibly shows a way for everyone to have a chance of probably going over to mars to settle there or as a tourist and i bet you this car is dope.....

Hi, I found some acronyms/abbreviations in this post. This is how they expand:
