No life on Mars!
Research by scientists from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland has shown that life on the surface of Mars is impossible because of the chemical compounds contained in its surface soil.

The surface of Mars contains perchlorate compounds, which are salts of chloric acid, and are toxic to organisms, according to the results published in Scientific Reports.
The researchers used perchlorate concentrations, similar to those in Mars soil, and studied their effect on Bacillus subtilis bacteria, a bacteria usually found on surfaces of spacecraft and equipment, and a source of bioterrorism.
In the result of the experiment, it was found that the toxicity of these compounds to organisms increased with the presence of ultraviolet radiation, which led to the death of bacteria in minutes.
The researchers also pointed out that iron oxides and hydrogen peroxide, a substance found on the surface of the red planet, which raises the effect of perchlorates, and thus die bacteria 10.8 times faster.
Perchlorates were discovered on the surface of the Red Planet in 2008, when the Phoenix probe landed on Mars and analyzed its soil. At the time, it was found that the concentration of these compounds in the soil was 0.4-0.6%. These results were confirmed by the Kyorienti probe.
The scientists concluded that the combination of these compounds with ultraviolet radiation on the surface of Mars, prevents the existence of strange life on the surface of this planet.
What about that bacteria that eats perchlorate? Could we use it to make things better there?
I agree with you
Maybe we'll have life on Mars once Elon gets his mission in full gear. Wont be me though, too cold for me there lol
Terraforming \o/
NASA is a fraud
