SolarCoin gets a new Granting Affliate in Mexico

Exelsolar has joined the SolarCoin network by helping its customers claim SolarCoin for the solar energy they produce in Mexico.

As more SolarCoin becomes distributed to commercial operations the size and scope of the SolarCoin network expands. SolarCoin is now claimed in 41 countries worldwide, and has no exposure to China so recent shocks should not have any impact on the price.

Indeed a SolarCoin node can run on a 3W Raspberry Pi, meaning it can be placed anywhere with internet connectivity, in fact the nodes can even be fully mobile if mobile data is available and a small solar/battery solution provided, making the network especially difficult to take down physically. This also means SolarCoin can reach the off-grid developing world and this is one of its longer term goals.

As most solar owners measure ROI in decades, they are unlikey to liquidate their SLR immediately, probably prefering to HODL in this authors opinion.
