What is Steemit, and why should you try it - A nudge to my friends on other social media
Hi guys, I'm sharing this post with you in the hopes I can entice you to start using a social media platform that can pay YOU...instead of putting money in Mark Cuckerberg's wallet.
I have made about $500 dollars in the six months I've been here. Not really a lot of money, but it beats the shit out of having some tech giant make money off of my contributions to their sites without sharing any of that revenue with me.
But there is more...the social media site I am beckoning you towards you doesn't ban your account if you step off the goodspeak Narrative, the mods don't edit your comments for you when they disagree with you, and there aren't even any mods!
Instead, this platform relies on community voting, both to reward you and to keep the extremes to a dull roar.
You know me, rightwing "extremist" extraordinaire. I have only been flagged by someone who has disagreed with me once...it is a rarity for the community to downvote simply on disagreement. The motivation of financial reward really helps to keep things civil.
The site is called Steemit.com, and I will be upfront in that the reward and investment system can be complicated. I won't complicate matters by trying to explain it now. When you sign up, I and the other Steemers will be happy to help you understand that.
The other nice thing is that the platform gives you a few dollars in Steem power to get you started right!

I'm relatively new and still haven't made very much progress in the world of SteemIt. I would really like to enjoy SteemIt (and reap the rewards that come), but it's hard to do so because even on here I still feel invisible... I'm not having much luck.
there are entire weeks that I go through the same thing.
there is no guarantee that any person will succeed here; but I do think that constantly creating content and networking with people through commenting and following will lead to some succeess.
the userbase is still very small. I am betting my time right now that the platform succeeds down the road.
Hm, I suppose there is some hope to look forward to.
I also noticed you don't post much; every post you make increases the chance to hit a home run.
That includes comments, but comments are better for networking and meeting people than for payouts

look at it this way, a bad probably wont get any payout. no post certainly wont get any payout.
sometimes you cant write or create, and sometimes you just put up crap.
I havent really written anything good for a while, but when I get a hint of anything, I put it up.
also, if you put out a crap post now, you can use it as a draft for a better post
