The world is gradually becoming a global village; people from all over the world can now enjoy relationships and access to information that they wouldn’t have been able to get without the existence of this innovation called the internet.

With the internet, communication is made possible from most nations of the world within just a few seconds. All this is possible as a result of the herald of social media application which enables individuals to connect with the world around them and beyond while leveraging on the power of the internet.

I have seen old friends reuniting, strangers becoming the best of friends all because of the existence of social media. However, at some point, we began to see exploitation in the social media space; the problems of our offline society gradually began to invade the online one.

Most people use social media as a place to stay away from their immediate societies. Some critics have however, challenged this to be the basis for lack of originality in our millennials nevertheless, those who love social media do have great moments while using them. Others have also blamed the emergence of social media for the breaking down of the fabrics that hold society together.

I mentioned earlier that the ordeals of our offline society began to creep into the online society called Social Media. The ills of our society are the great imbalance and unfairness that exists in terms of how a few group of people (a small number in terms of the population that represent a society) enrich themselves from the efforts of and at the detriment of the majority.

We have heard international social media companies like Facebook, Google and many others use the private data entrusted to their servers by users to make massive net profit at the end of each financial year yet, users are never compensated for the invasions of their privacy and interruption of their personal lives through spammy digital advertisements.

Recently, social media began to take another turn with the emergence of the STEEM blockchain that possesses the feature that’s capable of reversing the old order on conventional social media platforms; where content can truly be rewarded with the power of their native currency called STEEM.

The idea of monetizing contents on the internet through social media can fiannally go mainstream…

STEEM is a blockchain and a backend interface that various frontend applications can connect to in order to monetize all sort of valuable contents. One of such front ends is known as Partiko; the name, of course, is from two words (original english) “Paid Article”. In other words, with Partiko powered by STEEM, you can actually get rewarded for every valuable content you put out there.

How it works

Partiko uses the Stake-weighted voting protocol used on the STEEM blockchain; with this contents can be rewarded in a magnitude that is proportional the amount of STEEM token held by the person who likes the article that a user puts up on Partiko. This literally means you get rewarded based on the strength of the community that appreciates your contents or that sees your contents as valuable (the subject of value is highly subjective). You can post all manner of things on Partiko and be rewarded as long as the right communities are tagged on your article.

Partiko is Decentralized

Partiko is decentralized and works on a very transparent model that also permits the posting of NSFW (Not Safe For Work) contents to the STEEM blockchain. I believe that is one of the strongest points they have in terms of comparing them with other applications built on the STEEM blockchain like Dtube, Dlike, e-steem and so on.

On Partiko you can monetize contents that you would have put on other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and so on. Your voice is worth something;

THE UI/UX (User Interface and User Experience)

The design of Partiko is very sleek and at the same time easy to use by even a person totally new to cryptocurrencies and the use of blockchain technology. The features are similar to other social media interfaces you already know. The design also makes it a match and good substitute for other frontends built on the STEEM blockchain.

NB: Frontends has to do with everything an ordinary user can see and interact with on a website or mobile application as the case may be. The backend is the reverse and has more to do with the server-side operations.

Patiko is up-to-date in terms of the simplicity and contextual design of the mobile application and I think being a means to post NSFW contents to the STEEM blockchain, they’ll have an edge over other Dapps on STEEM.

Easy to Use

The simplicity of Partiko’s UI also makes it very easy to use like I said before. One wouldn’t have to watch this video, that video or ask too many questions in order to understand how the application works. The UI suggests most of the functionalities to even the newest user on the platform.

Very Far From Being Slow

One of the greatest killers when it comes to enjoying the functionalities of a mobile application like Partiko, irrespective of how amazing the features are is the response time (or simply put the speed) of executing those features in the application. Partiko is very fast and loads at the speed of light (all you have to do is ensure you have a working internet connection).

In Conclusion

I think this is a great social media application you would like to try out. It’s superb and like I said before, it is very easy to use. However, I have some reservations regarding the way the name of the brand is coined ‘Partiko – Paid Article’. The concept of ‘pay’ should be reward since that would reduce the ‘sense of entitlement’ most people have when it comes to engaging in the STEEM ecosystem. One other thing is this, I would really like to be able to post a comment without the additional message left beneath my comments that I ‘posted via Partiko’ mobile application. Aside from these two, which is only an expression of my personal opinion, I think this is a great app and I would recommend that you get it on your Android or Apple mobile devices.

One other thing is that, if you are an airdrop kind of person, Partiko is airdropping free 3000 Partiko coins to all new members that download and use the application. To win the free coins all you need to do is Sign In with your steemit detailS or SteemConnect on the application.
You can claim upvotes using the Partiko coins which is what every Steemian (STEEM user) out there is yearning for.
