The 1 indicates how close you were to guessing the first goal correctly.
I.e. you guessed 4mins, the first goal was scored after 5mins, meaning you were out by 1.
The 'first goal guess' is used as a tiebreaker when Prediction scores are equal. Whoever guesses closer to the correct first goal finishes in a higher position.
