Man you're a genius! THis project has tons of potential. What would be the cost of creating 280 million 1UP tokens?
Creating the tokens will only cost a few Steem. However, creating the app is more difficult. I found a private investor to pay for the development costs. I had hoped to finance it without that but it just grew too big and needs now 2-3 months to create. We will be hopefully live for SteemFest in November.
@flauwy howdy! great informative post. Will be celebrating my first year on steemit this month...and always trying to stay informed... this sounds like a promising solution for the longevity of this platform.
I really much think so. With this we can make Steem look really well!
Interested to see the outcome of this project, just don’t make 1up bid bot able and all should go just fine.

Don't worry, that would defeat the purpose. We cannot stop bid bots but by controlling the vast majority of voting power in a mutual consensus we have quiet a bit to say about what is acceptable and what not.
