RE: Investing through delegation and curation

in #smt5 years ago

I think that more and more investors will start delegating to SMT's and Steem will mainly be used as a way to invest into other projects on the Steem network.

I'm not saying that blogging, vlogging, ulogging, etc will die, but a much bigger pie from the reward pool will go towards SMT's and that's a good thing.

Yeah I agree here. I suspect there will be multiple 'blogging' SMTs, and the winner/s will be those that use solid Oracles.

Hopefully the returns on these delegations will go some way to match what is available at present, as you would think delegating here will be a positive thing for Steem.

Cheers!

People are going to soon start waking up to what oracles are going to do here.

1-account-1-vote for the ordering of content for 'Trending' pages seems likely, but perhaps a while away yet.

I don't think 1-account-1-vote should be the biggest focus. The biggest focus should first be to separate advertisement posts from real human content creators that came up in an organic way. Advertisers ideally should be ad slots in posts. Just as Google is doing atm. Their model is working. Why change it.

That'll happen first, steemstem and steeeve are already doing something similar.

This will move trending back to how it was prior to bots, but I think it could be made even better with 1a1v.

Maybe, but humans be able to track them too much is usually not the answer, just fixing the big things and we are good. People can always fix more accounts. They can always also make their friend upvote. Even when it's 1a1v. Just keeping organic and move advertising somewhere else. And still have the capital side too it. If a small Stake holders makes a vote it shouldn't still have as much power as the one with large capital invested. Even under a 1a1v system. It makes stuff too flat and boring.

I don't think 1-account-1-vote should be the biggest focus.

Of course you don't think that after the shit you pulled on Scorum. :)

See this article that clear some things up, I also wrote a comment
