The swallows return every summer - an annual repetition.

Swallows resting on the overhead powerlines, scanning the air for tiny insects. Fabulous watching them swoop down low at speed when they're having a feast.

Swallow's Nest at the entrance to our Home - amazingly they return to this nest year after year; see the repetitive pattern and varying colours of the layers of clay lumps as they've repaired it from time to time.
We paint around it and leave it undisturbed, amazing that the next generation knows where to find it.

Thanks for the comment @sultnpapper, it amazes us when they return to the nest each year, have lived here for yonks! The first sign that they're back is the bird poop on the slasto below :)

I honestly don't know the time measurement for "yonks" but I'm gonna guess that is a pretty substantial amount given it has an exclamation mark behind it.
