RE: BarterDex - Trading with SmartCash

in #smartcash6 years ago

A really long one, i also heard about the atomic swap, really don't know what it is, just like an out if the world to me, i read a lot like reading this one and this has really improved my knowledge of Cryptos..... in just 8 months of getting affected with the blockchain virus,
never used the barterdex once i think this really is cool like the xmr privacy, and making transaction untraceable.

@marshalllife atomic swap means an exchange of two coins. This exchange has no middlemen or exchange it goes directly for one blockchain to another. For example if you want to exchange Smartcash for BTC
You make an order: to sell 10000 smart for 0.000150000BTC
If I come along and think its a deal for me I take the order.
What happens next is:

  • 10000 smarts is sent directly from your smart wallet to my smart wallet
  • 0.000150000BTC sent from my BTC wallet directly to yours
When you buy and sell on Coin Exchange for example -The exchange has both our cryptos till the deal is done. They may have wallet issues and you are not able to remove your coins (HitBTC case in question)
The advantage of the direct swap is less risk to your fund as you only do one transfer.

mmmmh, perfectly understood now, no centralized i attached, thanks for that explanation, really need that to clearify things.

it takes time especially when they are used as buzz words most times.
