Portrait of girl and decomposition of the form inspired by "The Countess of Blood"

Eat me

Eat me is the title of the drawing exhibition, which is inspired by the story of "The Countess of Blood".

Although initially the elements of the drawings would denote even more the inspiration, the exercise consisted of the decomposition of the form, even reaching the abstract without necessarily losing its essence during the process of no more than 10 drawings, for that reason I focused only in the face of the female character.

Inspired by the Countess of Hungary Isabel Báthory de Ecsed, "Countess of blood" the serial killer woman with the highest number of victims, who fed on the blood of her young plebeians to stay younger, this as the final part of a tortuous and sadistic ritual.

Through a dry wet technique which covers in its entirety; watercolor, colors, and pen, the face of a girl is presented, from where the visual journey begins. This character that strongly and decisively holds a bird, which alludes to the life of these young women who were robbed of their lives, their wings to fly. This work is part of a process of understanding organic forms; Both the face of the child and the shape of the parakeet to then gradually start with the deformation of the figure of these two, detaching the skin as the girl feeds on the animal.

  • Already in the second image it is sought to show the color pink in the bird while the girl feeds on it, shredding it.

  • On the other hand, in the third image, these masses become one, while the extraction of the flesh continues on the face, leaving only small traces of blue remain where the bird was.

  • Regarding the technique, a gouache was applied, placing on the medium grain support a plastic bag, which, when dried and removed, generates in the stain an ideal and expressive texture to transmit that sensation. (The same process as in my previous post about the Black Dahlia).

The color as a psychological element of the work, and the stain as an expressive element are based on the volume generated from the use of crayons, like the pen in the darkest areas of the hollow spaces, insinuating depth on the watercolor and in the development of drops, or masses that fall and stretch of the face in order to finally become in itself the sample where evokes both the process of abstraction of the 10 drawings and the curves and irregularities characteristic of living beings, of the human figure.

I hope you liked it!

This was my first attempt at abstraction, and although it is not a current that calls me too much attention, it is fascinating how some artists like Bacon, or the Venezuelan Jorge Pizzani, converge these two tendencies.

I appreciate every comment <3 see you in the next post. Ig: @Indianapttz @polymorphe.doll

This somewhat freaks me out! But hey! It is some really creative artwork, i give you that!.

And i especially admire the narrative from, and which you give it. You made it easy for me to comprehend the whole essence of the post otherwise abstract at first!.

That said, i do a personal curation called Xpose Curator's Rebound, where i daily feature at least 3 newbies whose articles meet three criteria, namely, originality, depth and relevance. Find out more about it here:Re-introduce post.

Your post here meets all of the selection criteria. I am going to feature it on today's edition #14. This should give it some exposure, and hopefully lead to much deservedly rewards.

Here is a link to the Xposed Curator's Rebound #14 in which you are featured

A pretty intense work we've got here, congrats.

It's kind of scary but still very well done. It would not be misplaced in a horror movie scene lol
