A night out…
Afternoon everyone…..
So let’s start out with the night on the town…..
I am a huge comedy fan, I really enjoy going to see comics live. There are a bunch of comics on my list that if they are near me I will try to see.
There aren’t too many comedy places big enough near me that draw some of the bigger names comics. But every once in a while you get lucky.
A few months back we did a couples comedy night with a bunch of friends. It was ten of us, or five couples. We saw Bobby Collins. We all had a great time, and they brought up doing it again soon.
At a 4th of July barbecue some of them were talking about doing another comedy night out. So I started looking for good shows. I came across a just announced date for a comic Ian Bagg. He’s a funny comedian from Canada. He was only doing two nights August 2nd & 3rd.
Unfortunately with summer vacations it wasn’t good for any of them, but I wasn’t missing the chance to see him live. So I bought tickets for me and my girlfriend immediately. Good thing I did because they sold out the next day.
Last time we were at the Stress Factory Comedy Club, I noticed a really nice Italian restaurant next door. So we decided to give it a try this time.
The picture above is actually from their website. It started to pour as we got there so I was unable to take an outside photo.
They have a very nice menu, with lots to choose from. It would be a great place to have a couples night out in the future. They make fantastic pizzas in a brick oven which I’m a big fan of.
We decided to go with an appetizer named filet bites. It’s a nugget sized piece of filet mignon wrapped in smoked bacon with a balsamic glaze. They were fantastic, I would highly recommend them. Sorry no picture.😪
We also had the meat lovers 12” pizza. It has hand cut locally made pepperoni and sausage, house made meatballs, and bacon.
Yes it was fantastic. Nice char on the crust but very soft center. The toppings were excellent.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. All the plates of food around us looked fantastic as well.
Next up the Stress Factory for the Ian Bagg’s show.
I want to say this might have been one of the top shows I’ve seen. The comic that MC’d the show was Indian (not American Indian) from India. He was hilarious, the opening act was a comedian named Jo Koy he is very funny and had us laughing the entire twenty minutes he was onstage.
The headliner Ian Bagg’s was hysterical, he had us in tears laughing numerous times during the show. They had signs posted everywhere no photos or videos. But I managed to sneak two quick pictures.
If you enjoy comedy, and he is in your area. You need to go see him!!!
It was a great night. Luckily it stopped raining before the show ended. So the hour ride home wasn’t to bad either.
I was going to cover a shop update and a celebration that happened last weekend. But this post was long enough.
I’ll try to hit those this upcoming week.
