Silver Adventures of Captain Joshua Slane - #60 - “Ertical’s Idea!”

The crew was getting bored hanging around the silver trading booth without getting the go-ahead from the Captain to buy. Commander Galligan tried to rally their spirits with a little game of soccer that they played on the edge of the village square.

Taking a break, they sat down on the fountain and caught their breath...

“Commander, how’s long duz yer’s t’ink th’ Cap’n will keeps us here wit’oot a Buy Cycle?” Axewell Silverhammer asked.
“Oh’s, me guess is ‘att if wee’s doon’t fall inta a Buy Cycle tomorrows, hee’s will pull us back. But if it’s a deed calm, flat-line, likes tadays, he mays even keep us another days. Hard to predict th’ Captain.” Galligan said as he chewed on a long, green strand of grass.
“Aye, hee’s hard ta predict…” Axewell said in deep thought.
"Aye, hard..." Esterner agreed.

Gazing around, Azzuar noticed that ErticalOne was no longer with the group.

“Wher’s Ertical off to?!” he asked as he scanned the busy square.
“Ahh saws heem o’er by th’ woods a while agos.” Avid Achomamma said.
“Hee’s hard press’d ta figures a way ta catch ‘att Leprechaun!” Galligan said with a laugh.

Meanwhile, lying in a patch of soft grass in the cool shade of the trees, ErticalOne pondered his problem.

Then in a twinkle of the eye....it came to him… If he could make some bird lime or other such sticky goo the Leprechaun could perhaps be baited to step into the mess and be held long enough for the men to catch the bugger! In a minute he was up and moving quickly to the shoreline where the large flocks of gulls gathered!
