...continued...

So, this movie came to mind and I had to watch it again today. The title of the movie is ”Blind Side” where the story of ”Michael Oher” the NFL football player was narrated. It was an emotional movie and I always try to hold back tears anytime I watch it. I can’t explain why. I like relating a lot to real-life stories and experiences and it makes me understand how lucky and blessed I have been most times.

Michael was from a poor background. Had no place to sleep since he was taken away from his mum and soon after the father died and he wasn’t close to him. He only has another brother and this amazing couple took him in.

The catered to him, helped his grades to move up by giving him a private tutor who later became a part of the family. They became his legal guardians even though they already have two amazing children; a boy and a girl.

It was rough at first on the daughter but she came to accept him and the boy accepted him right early. The wife pushed everything to make the husband like him and he finally did like him without reservations. The wife, who is now the mum even gave up her high-class friends when they couldn’t see the good she was doing trying to help Michael, a black boy. She was undeterred and she wouldn’t apologize for it because she was convinced she did the right thing.

They helped Michael. He came to be a star, a pride, and it was all down to one single moment when they opened their home to him. When they shared their life with him. Life is about sharing. The husband accepted him as his son, the son accepted him as a big brother even though he is white and Michael is black. He calls Michael big brother, even in school. The daughter accepted him as a brother too and she made sure of that. The mother never looked back into helping him to reach his full potential.

To be continued...

Thank you for your time.

What an amazing way to describe all emotions of life. Well I have not read your previous post but now I feel like reading them all. It's beautiful to read and feel the emotions simultaneously. Some writers do write good but we don't feel connected but that's not the case with you. Thanks

Indeed, what comes from the heart touches the heart and you just proved that. Thank you for your kind words and appreciation, it delights me to read this and i sincerely appreciate you. Thanks a lot for this.

Physically sharing and being generous looks detrimental. Yet another fact is quite the opposite. Before this, researchers have found the term "warm-glow-effect" which shows people who do charity.

Sharing and being generous has a positive impact on their generosity or is called a "warm-glow effect". This positive feeling is earned for giving or helping others.

When someone donates to a foundation, some areas of the brain associated with comfort, social connections, and trust become active and create a warm glow effect. The researchers also believe that when performing altruistic actions, the brain releases endorphins, producing a positive feeling called "helper's high." This phenomenon can occur because when helping people, the brain produces dopamine (which gives the feeling of happiness and confidence that we do the right thing) and the known hormone oxytocin can reduce stress, improve immune function, and develop a sense of trust in human interaction.

Many studies have shown that generous attitudes have been correlated with health. That sharing with others can improve the health of people with chronic diseases like HIV. In the study found that elderly people who help neighbors, friends, and relatives, or who provide emotional support to their partners, have a lower risk of death in the next 5 years, compared with seniors who do not provide practical and emotional assistance to others.

You left me in awe of this beautiful post most importantly because i have seen this movie too. While everyone was not seeing as the woman was seeing" the blind side to them" she was seeing the "bright side".
Although life has had its own ad sides to our 'good gestures' .People see you as having ulterior motives, fight you, assault you etc but hey never stop sharing for in it is life.
Sometimes i look back at my Voluntary blood donor card annd i feel this happiness and joy knowing that with just as little as one pint of "O-ve" blood i have shared someone life has been saved whether or not it has to be bought or not.
Sure and indeed sharing is life and consequently Living.
Think about it, whike the whole lot ir package might be difficult to let go, a portion wouldn't be bad to part with.
Please lets learn to share
Thanks for sharing bros.

Still Elisedaniels...Love for the Gospel.
