How many times have we seen police departments reach out to the public for any and all assistance in solving a crime? Particularly a violent crime and especially homicide?

Well for whatever reason the DCMPD doesn't seem eager to receive assistance from citizens in it's 'investigation' of the #SethRich homicide. Why would this case be any different from others?

DCMPD as well as other DC government offices such as the Medical Examiner's seem to be impeding any independent efforts by citizen investigators trying to solve the #SethRich murder.

DCMPD Detective Weston decided to go after citizen investigator Matt Couch on Twitter.......

I reached out to Detective Weston this AM looking for an explanation as to why he would not welcome any and all assistance from the public on this homicide that has gone unsolved for over a year now. I'm not sure if Detective Weston is actually working on this case himself but regardless as a Detective on the DCMPD why would he feel compelled to lash out at a citizen investigator trying to achieve the same objective which is solving the #sethrich homicide- or am I being presumptuous in assuming the DCMPD actually does want to solve this case?

Seems to add yet more credibility to former DC Homicide Detective turned PI Rod Wheeler who asserted that a former colleague and DC Homicide Detective told him that they had been told to STAND DOWN - Wheeler implicates the Mayor's office in this order to STAND DOWN.........

I've recently submitted a series of FOIA requests to the DC government- my primary focus will be on the Mayor's office- I strongly suspect that former DNC Chair Donna Brazile used her political influence over Mayor Bowser to convince her to shut this case down. Stay tuned.

I'm not in anyway defending what this detective has done, but I will tell what happen to me and why the good detectives sometimes leave the department.
I was ripped off by a thug that drove a large tractor trailer rig. He was so bold he would drive into the job site hot wire a forklift, load up what he wanted and drive off.
The way he got caught was a policeman driving by at 3 am saw something that wasn't normal to the average person driving by. This thug was loading a large wood beam on top of a load of concrete blocks he had stolen off another job. (he got greedy).
When the officer stopped and questioned him the thug confessed and told them how he was doing the crimes.
The way I was brought into this was, he had stolen my stuff earlier in the night and he told the officers where to go find it.
The detective asked me to come out and ID the merchandise, and when I arrived he and I got into a discussion about the crime spree.
The detective informed me this was his last case, he was quitting after 10 years on the force.
I asked him why?
He told me that the prosecutors would not prosecute the crimes.
The detective went on to tell me that this thug would be out on the street before he finished the report on this crime. And that the felony charge would be reduced to a mistaminor!
So the detective was quitting because he felt like he was being betrayed by the prosecutors not doing their job.

We need to drain the swamp! Sorry for the long comment.

NOTHING other than Democrats get elected in DC- one party corruption is even worse than the run of the mill two party corruption. No worries- I'm going to take that criminal DOWN.
