Ya que el tema escogido fué el violeta, but I decidí compartirles éstas 2 fotografías de estas bellísimas orquídeas Silvestres.
Wild Orchids: Orchids are perennial herbs, usually small in size, with a more or less defined basal rosette of leaves, and other smaller stems, without spots. These have small, globular, underground tubers from which the flower stem emerges.
The inflorescences are racemes with few flowers (pauciflorous), with flowers are very showy. Two to twelve flowers develop on each flower stalk. The flowers are unique, not only for their unusual beauty, color gradation and exceptional shapes, but also for the ingenuity with which they attract insects. Its labellum imitates various insects such as bees, bumblebees, beetles or wasps, attracting and deceiving the pollinator.link
Debo admitir que haciendo la investigación para éste concurso, quedé asombrada con la cantidad de detalles que desconocía sobre éste tipo de orquídeas y la inmensa variedad que existen, incluyendo las híbridas, me ha resultado fascinante!
