RE: KeepKey Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Review - Protect Your Investment!

in #security8 years ago

so in summary - you'd need this to access your Bitcoin?

what would happen if it got lost, stolen, or damaged? would there still be a way to recover your account and access your funds?

Sort:
If you lose or damage your KeepKey, as long as you have access to the recovery sentence you wrote down during initialization, you can recover your bitcoins on any wallet that supports BIP39 and BIP44, including a new KeepKey.

So you don't need the device. You can retrieve your funds with MultibitHD or any other supported wallet or another KeepKey.
