Being Lazy Is A Sign Of Intelligence

I couldn't but laugh when I came across this funny but true US Based Report that suggests that people with higher IQ are easily bored, which often leads them in deep thoughts and spend most of their time thinking. So in order to escape from this boredom they usually get involved in physical activities.

According to a new research from a United States study which suggests that smarter people even spend more time being lazy, proving the theory that brainy people normally spend more time lazing around than their active counterparts.

From the findings, the study seem to support the idea that people with a high IQ get bored less easily, which usually lead them to spending more time engaged in thought. Active people on the other hand may be more physical as they need to stimulate their minds properly with external activities, either to escape their thoughts or because they get bored quickly.

I think the reason behind this is that the meticulous ones will always waste time studying and calculating on how to solve the problem but the lazy ones don't like wasting time and that's why their instincts work so fast to solving the problem in no time.

I have friends that are lazy bones and one thing I noticed about lazy people is that they always look for shortcuts in doing any task given to them. When other people will be racking their brains to find solutions to problems, lazy people will always find an easy way out.
Give a hard and complicated work to a lazy man and watch him find a shortcut to solving and unraveling it in no time.

Researchers found that intelligent people live a more sedentary lifestyle, as they rarely become bored and spend more time lost in their own thoughts. Those who fill their day with physical activity are most often 'non-thinkers,' and do so to stimulate their minds in order to escape their own thoughts.

From the Florida Gulf Coast University, scientists decided to conduct a 30-year-old test called ‘the need for cognition,’ to see how their students responded to different scenarios.

From previous works, researchers explain that physical activity levels are associated with physical behavior. For example, a previous study discovered that those deemed non-thinkers easily became bored and also experienced the negative effects that comes with it.

Those with high 'need for cognition' appeared to avoid this behavior because they were able to provide their own mental stimulation.

The results revealed that the thinking group were far less active than the non-thinkers over the week. The findings of the study were described as ‘highly significant’ and ‘robust’.
The weekends however showed no difference between the thinkers and non-thinkers activity level, which has not yet been explained.

Researchers believe the results could support the idea that non-thinkers get bored more easily, so they need to fill their time with activity.

Although the lazier participants may be brainier, but Mr McElroy warned that the lack of psychical activity usually have a negative impact on lifestyle.

He suggested that the less active students, no matter how clever they are, should aim to raise their activity level to improve their overall health.

Science has just given individuals an excuse to lazy around, watch television shows all day and take naps during the day.

So anytime someone tells you that you're lazy, kindly tell them you're intelligent.. LOL
