This is your great grandchild on communism. [Scary Shite Post 1]

[first of all, I wanna let everyone know that I'm not a conspiracy theorist, this is just a little thought exercise]

If we were stuck with the technology we have today, food and water would be so scarce in 100 years that humans will fight over it. Now, technological development is exponential, not even linear and it would especially not stop in any way shape or form, as long as there's some form of capitalism out there.

But... as we all know, automation is inevitable, and while others might think that would be the point of failure of capitalism, I would suggest quite the opposite, but that's another story for another time.

We've seen in the past few years an increase in the proposals for communism in the scenario in which human labor, be it physical or mental won't be needed anymore. Most people come to the, I would personally say moronic and uninformed conclusion that if there are no jobs, a basic income would be necessary for people to not starve.
I'm not even gonna try and debunk this for now, I'll leave this for another post, but what if... nobody does debunk it, while it people take it so seriously that they actually win, how could another failed attempt at communism, the philosophy of "lalalala me no speak economics", affect our future as a species given that we're dependent to technological development. We've been dependent to technology for a long while, and I don't mean your average facebook crappy meme addiction, I mean modern medicine, filtered water for our crippled immune systems and stuff like that, but we've never really been dependent to future hypothetical technology before, we've never had to hope that sooner or later, hopefully sooner, we'll get the technology necessary to increase crop development, and the technology necessary to desalinate ocean water faster. Well I mean, obviously we've been heading this direction all along and it especially became clear, statistically speaking in the past 50 years.

In 1950 the world's population was 2.5 billion. By 1960 3 billion, by 1980 4.4 billion and it's now 7.4 billion.

You don't have to be a bloody mathematician or data analyst to tell whether this graph is in an upwards trend or not.

The population is predicted to reach 9.3 billion by 2050.

Now imagine this increase in population, combined with lower technological development due to communism and a huge scarcity of resources.

Let's assume both the EU and the US would embrace communism due to low demand of human workers, it wouldn't take long until privacy and freedom of speech is completely dead, they own the means of education so they've got half the population indoctrinated in a decade and now nobody is going in or out due to strict laws, and nor is technology.

Skipping 30 years, the americans and europeans have been seeing and talking about the civilized world more and more, and on 25th of august 2097 the american revolution against its communist regime takes place.

They decide government must be abolished because of its inherent natural tendency of turning totalitarian, and it's violent nature and violent means of enforcing its rules. They finally embrace free market capitalism, and start importing technology from India, a country that has now fully developed into a technological capitalist society.

2 years later, 15th of october 2099, The European Communist Regime falls apart after a revolution. They start importing technology from asia too.

The technology might now be there, but it's too late, for all these years, two almost complete continents have been living with no technological improvements and with pseudo science infiltrated in their government's decisions.

In an attempt of being fully inclusive and politically correct, both the American Communist Nation's government and The European Communist Regime's government have dropped the notion of genetics because that would imply there are only two genders, X... Y... f*ck that, no more chromosomes.

Suppressed research in the Soviet Union refers to scientific fields which were banned in the Soviet Union. All humanities and social sciences were additionally tested for strict accordance with historical materialism. These tests were alleged to serve as a cover for political suppression of scientists who engaged in research labeled as "idealistic" or "bourgeois".[1] In several cases the consequences of ideological influences were dramatic. The suppression of research began during the Stalin era and continued after his regime.[2] Certain scientific fields in the Soviet Union were suppressed primarily after being labeled as ideologically suspect.[1][3]

Here's the list of fields:

Biology, linguistics (we've seen plenty of push for such policies lately from the left wing), pedology, physics, sociology and statistics.
In the mid-1930s, the agronomist Trofim Lysenko started a campaign against genetics[4] and was supported by Stalin. If the field of genetics' connection to Nazis wasn't enough, Mendelian genetics particularly enraged Stalin due to its founder Gregor Mendel's being a Catholic Christian priest, a fact that flew in the face of the Soviet Union's official atheism and antitheism.[5][6][7][8][9]                 -Wikipedia

Resources are now scarce due to this, and it becomes even worse once they get the asian technology allowing them to increase their lifespans. Meanwhile we hear the last "Allahu Akbar" from the middle east. Beep. Middle eastern secularism finally happens. Middle eastern democracy happens. They grow so fast :')

It's now 2100. Scarcity and yet a lot of technology. Break for dramatic effect.

There's no government to stop more children from being born so people try to solve this problem through the means of capitalism. And here's where the story begins.

Without further ado, meet your very own great grandchild:

Well, that escalated quickly.

Let me explain.

People were starving a fighting for food, price of food was really high as the demand was high and the supply was low (duuuh), and yet technology was shit cheap.

What do you do when you can modify genetic codes with the money you have but you can't afford food. That's right, make more efficient children.

We're gonna need quite a bit of brain power to get out of this misery, so if we can fit more neurons in the same space, why not do it? Hell, make the whole brain larger too, let's have twice the size and 4 times the original amount of neurons.

Whoops, large skull with small jaw.

Well, the idea is that they need to survive and grow on less food, the first logical conclusion would be making them smaller, skinnier and shorter. Why consume all that matter on a huge body (especially considering we're getting taller every year in our time). And we're not fruit picking apes anymore, we're starch farmers with machines now, basically the only good thing you need is a working brain to communicate with your technology to high resolution EEG.

Whoops, we've got big heads with small jaws on tiny bodies.

It could be quite useful to see longer wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation, wouldn't it?

Whoops, big eyes on big heads with small jaws on tiny bodies.

Our atmosphere barely holds up anymore, radiation is becoming a problem, we need a skin that holds up to it, and clothing is also just an inefficient method of protection for your skin that you have to carry around.

Whoops, big eyes on big heads with small jaws on tiny grey and rubbery NAKED bodies.

Smell is useless at this point.

Whoops, no noses and big eyes on big heads with small jaws on tiny grey and rubbery naked bodies.

Forgot to mention something, larger eyeballs isn't enough, you need huge pupils, so...

Whoops, no noses and big BLACK eyes on big heads with small jaws on tiny grey and rubbery naked bodies.

Then there's no need for swear glands so even more reasons to go towards a more rubbery skin.

And, finally, there's no need for hair or ears.

Whoops, bald little fellas with no noses and big black eyes on big heads with small jaws and no ears on tiny grey rubbery naked hairless bodies.

Well, that's about it. Cya next time when I'll talk about automation of production of goods and services and how anarcho-capitalism is better at solving that problem.

Cheers.
