Citizen Science: Project FeederWatch -- Count #01 Report w/Original PhotossteemCreated with Sketch.

in #science6 years ago

Citizen science is a great way to involve children and adults in discovery and contribute to scientific research and conservation. Project FeederWatch through Cornell University is a great way to get involved in citizen science. You can learn more at the Project FeederWatch website.

I typically watch birds on Saturday and Sunday. This is my report for 11-12 November 2017.

Squirel!

Both days during the count, my feeders were visited by some local squirels. This one particular squirel was on lookout duty.

Bird Watching Notes

Red-Tailed Hawk

I was not the only bird watcher this weekend. My bird feeders also had the interest of this Red-Tailed Hawk watching from a distance. This hawk was not included in my count because I did not see him on Saturday or Sunday, but I am sure the hawk was lurking somewhere.

Hermosos @etcmike, de todos los pájaros el que más me gusto fue el arrendajo azul, un color muy brillante y tus fotos excelentes.

Thank you! The blue jay was my favorite too.

Have a great weekend!
Steem on,
Mike

Hace años viví en el campo y también conozco mucha variedad de pájaros, en mi país hay un arrendajo amarillo y negro.
Saludos @etcmike.

If you have a chance to photograph the birds, you may want to share them here with the SteemIt community.
