How I met Professor Malanga - The Most Controversial Italian Scientist

This is the second post about my meeting with Professor Corrado Malanga at the University of Pisa (Italy). Please check my first Steemit post to learn more and read the full story.

I will summarize here what he told me during our first interview and following meetings, plus other conclusions he reached the following years.

Why a scientist should be interested in UFOs and Aliens?

As he says, he started studying these phenomena for different reasons:

genuine scientific interest: if aliens exist, they probably have many scientific answers to many of our civilization's problems (at least, this is what he thought at the beginning)
problem of non-scientific approach to this matter: many so-called ufologists don't have any scientific knowledge to effectively studying such phenomena
other researchers worldwide already studied the alien phenomena (abductions in particular) before him: John Mack (psychiatrist - USA), Bud Hopkins (artist, USA). but they gave only a partial explanation of the whole issue

Stage 1: Valerio's Abduction

The story started with a boy, Valerio, from Geona, who had some "missing time" experience, when in a camping with friends. After that strange experience, his friends lost him for some hours and he came back later with no memory of what happened.
Coming back home, he found some surgical scars on his body and didn't know the reason for that. Malanga called a local hypnotist to help this boy to remember what really happened during his "missing time". The result of this research is Malanga's first book, "Gli UFO nella Mente" (The UFOs in the Mind).

What Doctor Malanga discovered with Valerio was not really pleasant: aliens used humans like guinea pigs for their experiments, then deleted their memory and kept interfering with them for their whole life. People had no way out from such situations, which destroyed their life and mental health. Of course nobody believed them and usually they became labeled as mentally ill.

Stage 2: 3000 Hypnosis Sessions to discover more

After that, Malanga decided to become himself an hypnotist and started hypnosis session with people who contacted him via the internet for abduction-related problems. He also created a test to check if those people where only visionary or if they really were abducted (selecting only the genuine ones for the hypnosis sessions).
He did more than 3000 hypnosis sessions, before publishing all the data.
What he says is that usually many scientific studies rely on a very narrow number of people tested (like 100 subjects or more) while he wanted to gather more data to come to scientifically valid conclusions.

Leaving hypnosis and moving to mental simulations

Malanga discovered that was quite hard to free abductees using this technique.
He created some mental simulation techniques to help them to get out of the problem by themselves, without any external help.

Conclusions on Alien phenomenon

After many years of studies and extracting data from the hypnosis sessions, he came to the following conclusions:

Aliens are real and use humans as guinea pigs for many different experiments
Governments are aware of them and often human military collaborate with aliens to abduct people
Not only thousands hypnosis tell the same, absurd set of experiences, but there are also physical evidences on the body of abducted people
Aliens rely on human's ignorance and weakness: consciousness is enough to stop them and anyone can do it if he/she really wants it

Stage 3: going beyond the Alien problem

What he finally understood was that the real object of studies should not be the aliens or UFOs, but human being itself (and the nature of Universe). Some mental simulations to free abductees from alien interference, were also useful for other people and for different problems.
