When there's very little money to be made, the scammers quickly lose interest.
I know the low prices are painful for people who were depending on the cash flow, but now is the time to buy more STEEM while it is cheap. If I had extra cash, I would be buying. It's hard to say what I'll do with my SP. My original objective was to get to 50K, but all the whale drama and lack of development made me reconsider. Now with improvements like Steempeak, I'm considering going to a higher SP amount.
The whale and scammer drama made me take a break from this place too, not the low prices.
The only way I'm leaving this blockchain is if I'm dead or for some reason this one gets replaced with something far superior like a similar system on EOS. I don't think we are anywhere close to seeing that happen though, and this place is here to stay for a very long time from what I can tell.
We do need to work on the steep learning curve though, and I'm doing that by manually going through introduceyourself posts looking for promising new users to help. I saw posts about the Steem Blast idea yesterday also, but I disagreed about promoting the website as a financial investment.
In my humble opinion we should be focusing on the place not having centralized censorship, content filtering, or shadow banning instead.

May be steemit community is behind optimization of their time. Less efforts more rewards. They are however missing on opportunity at the time when they can get real attention
I think maybe now is the time when we will find out who's just here for profit. Now, that being said, I depend greatly on Steemit but it just makes me work harder, not less. I don't get wound up or stressed about it, the price will go up, no doubts about that. And then, see them all come running back.
I see it's coming around to that 'I'm in 100% agreement with you' time, again...

Weeeeellll. It's one thing to get hit hard and be feeling the pressure. Another to talk about how much you LOOOOOOOVE the community here and then leave every time shit doesn't go your way. Kokesh doesn't even engage anyone in his own comments sections on here anymore.
The thing is: no one is getting fucked. No one was getting paid anything before on other social networks. And Bitcoin and all alts? You're only fucked if you sell.
