"Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God."(John 6:67-69KJV)
Most of the Disciples before coming to follow Jesus Christ thought that they would only chop successes without facing challenges. As human nature no matter how sacred you are you will be tempted by the devil. So, when the difficult times started to come, the Disciples felt a little bit regretted, since most of them had left their homes, property and work to follow Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ; the psychologist among all mankind saw this regret from the Disciples and asking them whether they will leave him and go away. But, Simon Peter stood up and said Sir!, we have no place to go, since you have an everlasting life. If we leave you and go, it means we would lose our salvation. It always good to be here with Christ Jesus, irrespective of the difficulties we are passing through.
That is how some of us are, whenever some little challenges come we cannot hold unto our faith and we turn our back for Christ. Today is Sunday, but you will see many people because of some little difficulties that came his/her way you will find him or her at a place he/she suppose not to be there. It is good to be here with Jesus Christ as the Disciples did, since leaving Jesus Christ and go will let the devil get more avenue to operate and cause havoc to our lives.
We are also here in Steemchurch to impart lives and to deliver others who are suffering in order for them to get their freedom and liberty. May be the system is not clicking the way you want it to be. As Parishioners we have to exercise much patience for good times to come. When the Disciples waited I believe they had a good reward from Jesus Christ of getting access the Kingdom of heaven. Let us stay blessed, for our suffering will not be in vain.
