The only way to maximise your investment (interest on SP) here is to keep selling your votes, upvoting your own garbage, exchanging votes. NOT anything to do with curation. If you care and don’t do worst for the platform, you’ll lose out!

it's fken frustrating and leaves me in two minds on a daily basis. what helps me is knowing that i'll be able to buy lower with the hope of repair later.
Right? I feel the same too. N^2 is slow, N (currently) is fast. The human brain operates in both fast and slow mode. Bringing it to the middle around N^1.3 will accommodate both sides, it’s so beautiful lol

More than anything else, I'm amazed that I was able to manipulate myself into posting so frequently and spending so many hundreds of hours on Steemit during the time I've been here, all the while mainly GIVING currency away, more so than earning it. Lol!
Sometimes I say I used STEEM to trick myself into becoming more prolific. Guess it worked, but as far as a system for rewarding content commensurate with its quality, I see it as an abject failure.
The community and the underlying blockchain tech, though, still holds promise, as does the IDEA that was the inspiration for Steemit. Since that conception has validity, I'll probably be around here until we attain that vision, or someone else attains it first.
Haha that's how I basically went through steem since 2016. Not so calculative at all, but after years, I realised I'm just losing out and quickly losing SP influence to be able to curate as much as I want to. They should just consolidate giving and earning on equal magnitude so long term players can continue supporting growth of the network without losing out (or doing counterproductive stuff).
i hope you self voted whilst doing all the posting. my new thing is if someone hasn't got the respect for them selves to up vote their own post based on current reward system then i'm not going to vote for them either lol. a bit like put your own oxygen mask on first before helping others:)... probably change my mind tomorrow though lol
