How To Use Barbicide Concentrate?

Concentrate Brewing is a method for brewing beer that can produce extremely high levels of activity in your homebrew fermenter. The concentration you need will depend on the style of beer you are making. You can use a single concentrate, multi-compound concentrates, or a combination of multiple concentrates to produce the best beers from home.

The most important thing about the amount of activity in the fermenter is where you locate it. You want to be sure that it is located near the opening of the airlock and not a few feet away so that any additional yeast in the airlock does not compete with the Barbicide Concentrate for oxygen. The sink should also be close to the beer that you wish to ferment.

Locate the water source for the concentration. This may take some experimentation to find the correct location because different beers require different sources of water. Some concentrates need to have a lot of dissolved CO2 and other concentrates only need a little.

Once you have determined where you will be putting the necessary material, you will need to put it into a bucket or jar. The better the mash tun the more you will need to use the specific type of jar for your concentrated process. The type of jar is one of the biggest considerations when you decide what type of Barbicide Concentrate you will use. A plastic bottle works well for the first few dilutions.

The last step in this part of the process is to add the concentrates to the b kettle. You will need to add a very small amount at a time and do it very carefully so that the instructions on the bottle or jar will not fail you.

As the beer finishes fermenting, you will be left with Barbicide Concentrate that can add a big flavour boost to a beer that may not be able to absorb a full concentrate from the mash tun. The concentrate itself will add bitterness to the beer. The best thing to do is let the beer finish fermenting and then pitch the beer to the secondary fermenter.

Some people who use Barbicide Concentrate in their beers add some of the old beer to the finished product in the secondary fermenter and then add the addition of the new beer at the end of the fermentation cycle. The new beer should have a full concentration of the new addition.

Another way to add a new addition to the batch is to use the old extract and dissolve it in an equal volume of water. The concentrate will add just enough colour to the beer that the original extract did not.

If you are using a sour beer, use a cool syrup. This works well if you have a starter culture of the microorganism Brettanomyces in your beer. The Brettanomyces will be able to self-ferment which will occur when you add the syrup to the secondary fermenter.

Some people might use fruit as a new addition. This might be a good addition if you are planning on adding fresh fruit to the new beer, especially citrus fruits and berries.

The final step in the recipe is to fill the largest bottle that you will be using for the beer. Make sure that the bottle is filled to the top to help with yeast starvation and to protect the yeast from potential problems with contamination.

When you have your new beer, you will now wait a day or two before bottling the beer to see if the yeast has eaten up the new addition. If there is no problem, then you can pour the entire Barbicide Concentrate bottle into the keg.
