In the early 1990's Russia was in a very bad economic shape, I knew several sailors who used to go to St. Petersburg and they told me you could find literally hundreds of beautiful Russian girls working the streets and cheap too, of course this was because of the great crisis the country entered after communism died and the oligarchs raped the country, people had to find a way to eat. I believe things are completely different now.
