Dear reader - Steem has been renamed to Hive since May 2020. My content therefore has moved with me to Hive, and I hope to see you there: peakd.com/@soyrosa.

wow 15 years, that is dedication. Nice work.

I think Psychology would be an amazing thing to study, and like you I would not want to be a therapist either. I just think people and their behavior and reactions to situations in very interesting.

Like the ballet thing to, a little bumble bee among a sea of pink tutus.
I liked this Idea three things about yourself!

You're not coming to @steemfest right @philippekiene? Sharing three things about yourself would be cool regardless, just use a different tag like #threethingsaboutme and see if you can make it trending :-)

Very interesting 3 facts Rosanne

I love the fact that you were so self aware as a child... I too was a bit of a maverick and once went to school for a week wearing a spider man costume which my grandparents had bought me for my 6th birthday.

I still don't know what I will actually become when I grow up ;-)

I get where you're coming from. Although I call myself a writer I've bounced around in my career doing one thing or another without landing on any with 100% passion. It has dawned on me the last year blogging though, that so many of my posts are poetry or fiction, that I need to make some space to write a novel. But... steemit is super addictive ;-)

I look forward to meeting you at steemfest.

Hahaha - I love the idea of you sitting in your classroom in a spider man costume for a week :') I believe kids should express themselves and I love that you were 'allowed' to do so as well :D

Ah, to write a novel! Would be a great idea - and could be slowly done by adding parts to your blog or a separate 'novel' blog on the Blockchain as well! I know @techslut has been doing so for example, adding parts to the novel from time to time :-)

Steemit is addictive, but could also be used as a means to structure it! Maybe a chapter a month? :D

Looking forward to meeting you as well! :D

I wish I still had time to write my novel. Utopian.io is eating up ALL my time.

You'll get back to it - someday! It's going nowhere since it's published on the blockchain anyway :') Needless to say I'm missing your non-Utopian posts! <3

As techslut has points out, it is the community stuff which takes a huge amount of the time on steemit. I'm sure I could write a first draft in 3-4 months if I limited my blogging and stopped all the community stuff I'm involved in. Also, there are first publishing rights to consider in publishing on steemit but I'm gonna get my shit together one day soon. Lol, that is if I don't get dragged down the steemit rabbit hole of 1001 projects.

Hahaha - I know what you mean. If I only count up the hours I spend on doing 1-on-1 support on DM's on Discord... Ouch. But it's worth it so :-) We'll get our shit together someday and produce magical things ;-)

For sure 🙂 I am already hunting for my spider man costume to see if it still fits for wearing at the steemfest 3 opening 😹 Now that would be a magical comedyopenmic post... a 30 something year old man running around a packed conference hall pretending to shoot webs from his fingers.

LOL! I'll bring my camera :P

I just love this prompt by anomadsoul! This one is a great way for us to get to know things about each other prior to the trip.

I agree wholeheartedly that the people we get to know online are the same people we meet in person, with very few exceptions. Some of the people who've been in my life the longest started out as chat buddies. I met my husband online, way back in the day when people thought the only other people in chat rooms were serial killers. Well, he and I have been together for almost fifteen years, and I haven't serial kilt him yet. LOLOLOL!!!!

It's a great prompt indeed! It's fascinating to see the interpretations of the prompt as well :D Some go for deeper or more superficial facts - sometimes the way a question is answered shares more about the person than the answers itself ;-)

Ahhhh yes people had very different ideas about 'meeting people online' back then! Interesting right? Today people think crypto is only used by criminals as well ;-) They will change their minds soon enough :D

Oh gosh, I KNOW! When I first got a Steem account, I shared the idea with some writer friends, and all I got back was, "that's just a bunch of drug smugglers and money launderers. HAAAH! Joke's on them now. LOL! :-)

:') Yes, because dollars and euros have never been used to fund wars, to smuggle drugs, or to pay for killings! Lol!

I love the story of the Ballet clothes.. Its cool that you didn't conform to the convention of wearing pink and remained true to yourself :)

Yes - the moments I've felt least happy in my life were when I was forced in a structure or 'image' that just didn't suit me! That feeling started at a young age but still follows me around from time to time :')

It shows strength of character to act on that and not conform :)

It has broken me a few times but when I went through with parting with it I always felt better when looking back :D I learned to recognize the feeling earlier in those years, so now I'm quick to recognize I have to step away :-)

I think I still need to learn how to do that :)

now i really want to see that picture :D
it is probably a bit different in netherland but in serbia it is "just starting" with private practice in therapy and working in hospitals from what i heard (my sister just finished college) is really tough and you need to be specific type of person. But psychology is really interesting for me.
I kinda missed all that live meeting of online people from the old days of MiRC and some forums, never got to it. And if i by some miracle get to the steemfest i would probably be boring but you would all have a lot of photos. A lot of people (a lot of people i don't know), enter the observing and listening mode :D

I so so so hope I will find that picture!!! :') It honestly is on my mind all day now, it truly is a mirror for where I'm standing in life as well right now.

Yes, they screwed up the system in the Netherlands. You used to study 6 years and become a good psychologist - now you study for years, than you are a 'basic psychologist', but need to add two (expensive and it's almost impossible to get a spot) years of extra education next to working cases - and only then you are a 'full' psychologist which means your therapy gets paid by insurance. This means mental health care organisations only want the 'full' psychologists even though the 'basic' psychologists often have more interesting resumes due to not having studied all their life but also spent time getting other experiences, other jobs, travel... Some voluntary work.

So yeah, that's a system I can't fully support - especially since working more and more in the system also means losing a lot of freedom to actually spend time with a person and find a matching treatment.

So anyway. That's the end my rant ;-)

I honestly hope we'll meet someday - Would be fun to take pictures together and be silent and observe :D

nice rant, it is comforting to know that things are not complicated and stupid only in serbia :D
i am now mentally preparing for tomorrow (well today) as i have to visit at least 4 different government institutions (transferring agency from my mom to me) and i know that it could be done much easier but well... and i know that i will lack some papers and spend whole day because stupidity. you know how absurd the system is when you have an acronym for the response of the worker "FT1P" (fali ti jedan papir - you lack one document.)
end of my rant :D

well we could talk i mostly have problems with group talking :D

Hahahaha - FT1P - that's crazy! I must say our government is super efficient, so no complaints there. Strict rules and very well organized although there will always be people who can share you terrible stories of course :-) But I have none :-)

Sorry to hear about your day tomorrow - sounds horrible. Take a book and a camera, you never know what you come home with ;-)

(I know, groups are not my favourite too - Up to 4 people is okay, more than that I go crazy :'))

What a great way of presenting yourself on the road to Steemfest :)

Thanks! You should join us @verhp11 :D

I think I just might will join :) Nice to get to know some things about y'all :)

Yay! Yes - it's a great way to find some new people to follow as well! :-)

This is a really good post! People do indeed make themselves known correctly through what they write. A bumblebee....hmmmmm. You were just showing the others you are Queen Bee?

Hehehe - I think I'm never striving to be Queen Bee anywhere, but I do strive to think about 'okay, this is normally done this way, but does this way also really suit me'? :-)
