Why Ripple Will Skyrocket In 2018

Ripple is a pragmatic way going about the problem of the banking cartel without creating a blood bath anarchy scenario, one which regular crypto followers indirectly subscribes to... U can't get everything at once!

If you need to transfer $1000 to Japan, and the price of XRP is $1, then your bank will buy 1000 XRP, send it to a Japanese bank, and it will be sold for the equivalent amount of Japanese Yen.

If XRP is worth $10, then that same transfer will take 100 XRP instead of $1000.

Before you say, "Then it doesn't matter how much XRP is worth," there's a HUGE volume, as in trillions of dollars, of money transfers going on in the world. The amount of XRP is distributed among world markets, and some of it is held by speculators. Lets say there were 10m XRP in a Mexican peso market, and $10m needed to be sent to Mexico, then each XRP would have to be worth $1. So, as payment volume increases, XRP must be worth more to facilitate the payments.

XRP is fast, so each unit is reusable many times per day. That means it's not TOTAL payment volume that matters, it's peak instantaneous liquidity requirements that come into play.

This is obviously over your head if you're asking the question, and that's okay. Most people don't work in world finance, so that's not meant to be a personal attack. I'll just say that some very smart people have analyzed all of the points, and realistically, XRP can be worth anywhere from $10-20 based on the current use case that Ripple is attacking. That's NOT including speculators taking some out of circulation through long-term holding.
