One concern I would add is that although 56% of the global population is unconnected to the web, the quality of the mesh network increases as the density of users increases, so overcoming this initial hurdle could be a difficult proposition. This being said, I think that the decentralized aspect of mesh networks are probably very attractive to the blockchain community, and could make this a good investment.
